Thank you for your interest in the Deaconess Medical  Center Transitional Residency. We are a small, friendly, community based program with eight residents per year. The Deaconess  Medical Center Transitional Year Residency Program is designed to prepare physicians in their first postgraduate year for future categorical residency programs.
 
Regardless of a resident’s future career plans, we believe that every physician should have a broad well-rounded foundation to build upon. Our program offers a wide range of clinical experience to maximize the resident physician’s skill and knowledge base. We offer 4 elective rotations for each transitional year resident, allowing each resident to customize their transitional year in order to meet personal and career needs.
